Report on the 2008 Silent Art Auction Fundraiser (& Book Sale)

Thank you to all those who came and bid on art and bought books at our Silent Art Auction Fundraiser on Saturday, May 24th. We made just over $10,000 which will all be used to defray the Project’s programming and operating costs. If you couldn’t make it, or if you made it and were on the fence about an item, it’s not too late to purchase the superb works that remain! Take a look at the auction database and if you see anything that grabs your interest give us a call at 212-674-0910 or email us at .

The Project’s staff and Board of Directors wishes to thank the hundreds of generous people it took to make this event possible - from the contributing artists to the performers on the day of the event to our many die-hard volunteers!More >

The Poetry Project Wins the 19th Annual Village Award given by Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation

The Annual Village Awards are sponsored by GVSHP to honor people, places and organizations that contribute significantly to the quality of life in Greenwich Village. Nominated by GVSHP members and the community at large, awardees are judged by their impact on life in the Village. The Poetry Project will graciously accept this award on June 17th and looks forward to many more years of making cultural contributions to the East Village.
